The committee office supports the work of the executive committee and is the main contact for matters of young researchers at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU). Amongst others, some of its responsibilities are:

Providing information and consulting about support programs for young researchers

Coordinating calls for applications for support programs

Cooperating and communicating with faculties and central departments

Financial planning and budgetary accounting

Press and public relations
Organizationally, the office is linked to the Research and Technology Transfer Department.

Approach by car
Visitors can drive onto campus via the main gate in Ackermannweg (access via Koblenzer Straße). Parking on campus is free of charge for 30 hours per year per license plate. If you wish to park on campus for more than 30 hours per year, you will need an entry permit for which a fee will be charged; for more information, please visit the pages of the traffic control department (in German only). Alternatively, you can use the parking facilities at Dalheimer Weg or Albert-Schweitzer-Straße.
Arrival by public transport
The easiest way to reach the GYR is via the nearby bus stop "Friedrich-von-Pfeiffer-Weg". The stop is served by tram lines 51, 53 and 59 and bus lines 54, 55, 56, 58, 75 and 630. The bus stop "Universität" is also served by the tram lines 51, 53, 59 and the bus lines 6, 9, 54, 55, 57, 58, 64, 65, 68, 78, 79, 90, 91, 93, 630.
